Description
Chile’s high Andes hide one of the most remarkable ski days on earth: a fully snowcat-served operation in the Aconcagua Valley, riding above tree line through wide-open bowls, steep headwalls and chutes — with views of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere.
In a single day you can ski well over 10,000 vertical feet of pristine, off-piste snow, with unlimited snowcat laps until 3 pm (snow and weather permitting). Expert local mountain guides keep groups dialed and safe — roughly one guide per six skiers — and if abilities differ, groups split so everyone skis terrain that suits them.
This is backcountry terrain: you choose your line, and a strong intermediate or advanced level is required. Every day opens with a safety briefing, and avalanche beacons and BCA airbag backpacks are provided.
