Whether you are just getting started or working toward higher-level performance, long-term development matters. Our instructors coach with a focus on fundamentals, progression, confidence, mountain awareness, and fun, helping you build skills that support both immediate success and future growth across skiing and snowboarding and a broader range of mountain experiences at some of the most iconic snowsports resorts in the world.

Alex is a PSIA-certified ski instructor and Children’s Specialist with a deep commitment to helping skiers progress through smart, intentional coaching. He has taught teams, group lessons, and private lessons for athletes and guests of all ages, with experience at Palisades Tahoe and Sugar Bowl. Beginning with the 2026 season, he is also set to expand his involvement through Sugar Bowl Academy coaching and USSA certification work.
Having skied since the age of three, Alex brings a lifetime of mountain experience to every lesson. His background includes skiing across a wide range of terrain, snow conditions, and resort environments throughout North America and Europe. That broad exposure allows him to coach beyond basic technique, helping skiers become more adaptable, more confident, and more capable wherever they ski.
What clients and athletes appreciate most about Alex is his skill-building approach. He is known for creating fast, visible progress by breaking skiing into clear, practical steps that make improvement easier to understand and repeat. Whether working with a young athlete, an adult beginner, or a more advanced skier refining performance, he focuses on strong fundamentals, confidence, and results that last.
Alex is especially passionate about the technical side of skiing. He believes that real improvement happens when skiers understand the relationship between body, ski, and snow, and he brings that concept to life in a way that feels actionable rather than overwhelming. His ability to connect movement, feedback, and progression helps athletes and guests develop stronger mechanics and a better understanding of why better skiing works.
When he is not on snow, Alex works in the information technology field and holds multiple master’s and doctoral degrees in IT and business. That analytical background adds depth to how he teaches, but skiing remains first and foremost a passion. It is that genuine love for the sport, combined with a structured coaching mindset, that makes his lessons both highly personalized and highly effective.
Alex also offers select destination-based coaching opportunities for skiers and families who want more than a standard resort lesson. Limited spots are available for travel resort skiing and instruction, out-of-country private ski adventures, and curated travel packages built around memorable mountain experiences and meaningful progression.
For skiers, athletes, and families looking for thoughtful coaching and standout mountain experiences, Coach Alex delivers a clear path to better skiing.

Jason brings a rare blend of technical insight, coaching experience, and board-sport depth to every lesson he teaches. With more than 20 years of riding experience, 10 years teaching on snow, and more than 35 years coaching on the water, Jason works with riders of all ages and ability levels, from first-time snowboarders to advanced kids’ groups, all-mountain riders, powder seekers, and off-piste adventurers.
A PSIA-AASI Snowboard Level II instructor and Children’s Specialist, Jason taught at Palisades Tahoe and currently teaches at Sugar Bowl and has coached students ranging from age 6 to 80. His experience includes children’s and adult lessons, advanced-level kids snowboard groups in park and all-mountain settings, off-piste coaching, powder and tree guiding, and hosting snow and water experiences abroad.
One of Jason’s biggest strengths is his ability to quickly understand how each client learns best. He adapts his teaching style to match the individual, helping riders progress in a way that feels natural, effective, and confidence-building. His goal is not just to teach a skill for the day, but to create real, lasting improvement through a safe and supportive process that helps riders reach the next level and keep building from there.
Jason is especially strong at spotting details that others miss, both in movement analysis and equipment setup. He is highly skilled at fine-tuning gear for the best possible client experience and uses clear, memorable coaching cues that help riders make multiple movement changes at once without overcomplicating the process. That combination of technical precision and easy-to-remember language makes his coaching both effective and accessible.
His background in board sports extends well beyond snow. Jason has been recognized by Windsurfing Magazine as one of North America’s instructional superheroes for windsurfing and windsurf foil instruction, and he has also designed and developed windsurfing equipment, including sails and fins, with equipment sponsors. That broader performance background gives him a unique perspective on balance, stance, movement, and board control across conditions and disciplines.
Jason’s coaching and travel experience is worldwide, with hosted opportunities spanning South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Whether working with families, advanced youth riders, adult learners, or destination clients, his number one priority remains the same: making sure his clients are happy on snow while helping them ride better, safer, and with more confidence.

Jeff is the kind of coach who genuinely meets people where they are. His approach is shaped around understanding each skier’s learning style and adjusting his coaching so clients feel comfortable, supported, and successful. Whether he is helping a young skier build confidence, guiding a family through a fun day on snow, or working with an adult looking to improve in powder or off-piste terrain, Jeff keeps his clients’ goals at the center of the experience.
His teaching spans private lessons, group lessons, advanced alpine skiing, powder skiing, off-piste development, and hosted ski experiences abroad. Jon brings more than 20 years of ski coaching experience to athletes, instructors, and recreational skiers of all ages. His background includes PSIA Alpine Level III certification, Senior Specialist 2, Children’s Specialist 2, Resort Trainer, and Advanced Trainer credentials, along with extensive experience coaching everyone from first-time skiers to certification candidates, competitive racers, and high-level athletes.
As a coach, Jon has had the opportunity to work with skiers across the full spectrum of development, from a child seeing snow for the first time to athletes pursuing stronger race results and instructors working toward certification. His coaching ranges from private lessons to elite camps, with a focus on helping each skier build stronger fundamentals, greater confidence, and more effective movement patterns on snow.
Jon’s primary focus is improving frontside performance across groomers, crud, and race environments. He is especially drawn to the technical side of skiing, including pressure control, edge angles, rotation, ski-snow interaction, and center of mass management. His coaching style is individualized, feedback-driven, and often supported by drills, video, and targeted movement analysis to help skiers understand not just what to change, but why it works.
His experience has taken him around the world, coaching and skiing with passionate athletes from Ushuaia to the Arctic Circle. Along the way, Jon has also been part of achieving two first descents in Argentina and Alaska. His professional coaching background includes 13 years with Vail Resorts, 7 years at Diamond Peak, and current work at Sugar Bowl.
Jon’s philosophy is simple: skiing is often made more complicated than it needs to be. As he likes to say, “Skiing is nothing more than a series of simple body movements that we like to complicate.” His goal is to help skiers simplify the process, move better, and discover how accessible great skiing can become with the right coaching.
Let’s slide around, travel, and learn how easy great skiing can be.

We believe great skiing and snowboarding are built through strong fundamentals, thoughtful progression, and proven coaching standards. PSIA instruction focuses on long-term skill development, helping skiers and snowboarders build confidence, proficiency, and independence on snow.
What Is PSIA?
The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) is the national organization that sets the standard for ski instruction in the United States. PSIA certification requires ongoing education, on-snow evaluations, and demonstrated teaching ability based on how athletes learn and progress.
Athlete Development Through Progression
PSIA instruction emphasizes progressive skill development, ensuring athletes learn strong fundamentals before advancing to more complex movements and terrain. This approach builds confidence, consistency, and safer skiing while supporting long-term growth rather than short-term results.
Why Work With a Certified Instructor?
A PSIA-certified instructor is trained and assessed in technique, teaching methodology, movement analysis, and child-centered instruction. This ensures lessons are structured, age-appropriate, and aligned with proven coaching principles, giving athletes the best foundation for success and enjoyment on snow.
Step 1
Assess & Analyze
Each program begins with detailed movement analysis to identify strengths, limitations, and skill gaps. From this assessment and based on what you want to work on, a focused training plan is created to target specific improvements efficiently.
Step 2
Build Strong Fundamentals
Our training emphasizes core fundamentals that directly address identified movement deficiencies. We introduce skills in the proper sequence to ensure measurable progress, consistency, and confidence.
Step 3
Comprehensive Tools & Data Analytics
Athletes receive real-time feedback using modern coaching tools to accelerate understanding and correction. From using CARV to visualize movements and progression, to video analysis and intercom feedback: our continuous loop reinforces learning and significantly improves long-term outcomes.
